My lovely home is in the middle of 3 terraced houses, in a quiet cul-de-sac where there is private parking completely off the road.
It is literally the quietest place I have ever lived, apart from the primary school right round the back of my house - I literally wake up most days to the sound of children at play and it's lovely! There's also a short cut behind the private car park that takes you to the primary school/GP's surgery/chemist both bus stops and the high street - all literally less than 5 minutes away. One of the bus stops takes any teenagers directly to the local high school in Lockerbie, which takes 3 minutes on the bus.
As I only moved here less than 2 years ago, there is still a small amount of work needing done - but what has been accomplished so far, I get a lot of compliments on (and will hopefully be able to upload photos to give anyone interested the gist of how the house is looking, inside and out ).
There are, as I said, 2 bedrooms, both doubles, but the one I'm using is incredibly large ( for example, when I tried to photograph it, my back was pressed right against the wall - and I still couldn't fit it all in :) ). Between the two rooms, if it is indeed a family who find themselves interested, there is a never ending opportunity to renovate and make this a 3 bedroom. There is an attic that runs the length of the house and a really good sized bathroom.
Downstairs, the living room is an almost exactly replica of the bedroom - it's huge. It's in fact, in my opinion, too large for just a living room alone, so I have sectioned off the living room with a L-shaped sofa, added a nice bookcase and created a cozy dining area with room for family meals or if you're anything like me, I have a Chromebook set up there! Again, there are photos I hope to upload about this area....I understand that it's quite hard to imagine it.
As you walk in the front door, there's a cloakroom/boxroom. The kitchen also is a good size and has everything needed!
