3 bed semi detached house with fully enclosed large back garden.. I have been here 11years and I would like to move to Whitby to be near my adult son’s day centre at Ugthorpe as it’s 32 miles away and a 4 hour round trip daily.
I am a single parent and I have spent a lot of money on doing this house up to a reasonable standard.Money that’s been really hard to earn being a full time single mum and carer..We ideally need a bungalow but would consider a house depending on the size and adaptations.This house is a very warm house as it retains the heat very well..There is a walk in wet room that was done through a disabled grant..the Victorian basin and toilet are at my expense as are all the internal doors..tiling in the kitchen..all the 6 ft feathered edge fencing and the patio in the back garden..Costing around 5 grand in total.I have no carpets down as I removed all carpets during Covid..Sanded and painted all the floorboards and just have mats.. The house is warm enough for this but may not be everyone’s taste..There’s laminate in front room..The tiles in the hallway and kitchen were down when I moved here on 2013 but were beige so I’ve painted them with proper V33 floor paint..It does require a fair bit of maintenance but as there is only 2 of us in the house on a daily basis it’s manageable for me..Different story when the grandkids have been ? The property is suitable for someone to move straight into even if the decor isn’t to your liking..The bedrooms are due a freshen up but I’m not wanting to spend anymore money as would like to move..There is a shared drive with the neighbours that I’m not attached too and if we all park correctly we can get 3 cars each on the drive. The rent is £107.03 a week and we’re in council tax band B.Landlord is Accent Housing and I personally haven’t had any problems with them in 11 years.
