im looking for a 1 or 2 bedroom property in scotland/wales/ Yorkshire/lakes/peaks, the more remote the better or by the sea. Must be close to grazing and have it's own garden, pets must be allowed.
My house is a large 3 bed, coal fire heating, bathroom with shower and bath, downstairs cloak room, lounge, dining room, kitchen, hall way with under stair storage. large gardens back and front. views over hills and fields. Located in a quiet, very small friendly village on the English Welsh boarder. Excellent Doctors surgery just 30 meters away, spar shop with post office, florists, 2 cafes, 2 pubs, a gift shop, community centre, church hall, castle and grounds,a town hall which is now a museum, the river Clun runs through the centre of the village providing much summer fun in its shallow waters. Great walking, riding and cycling with plenty of history on the way. A small infant/junior school,a car would be good but not essential. Its a great place to live and im only looking to move as i no longer have ties to the area. Pets are allowed, if you have horses i can help you with grazing too. My housing is with Bromford HS. Im revamping everything at the moment. At the rear of the house are fields leading to the hills. You can see the old mill which is now a YHA. There are hill forts all over the place you can visit. We have our own dinky fire station too. The folks here are really nice and most are willing to give you a hand if needed. I've been very lucky and made a lot of friends but i choose to keep them at a distance as im more of an animal person and like my own company. Im also a writer and love the outdoors for inspiration which i have to say is in abundance here.
Shopping can be done in england or wales being as this is the boarders. Ludlow is 15 miles and has everything you could need. Shrewsbury is 45 min as is Telford for heavy duty shopping. Church stoke, montgomery and knighton are just a few on the welsh side and offer all kinds of wonderful little shops as well as some larger establishments. We have a saw mill in Bishops castle where you can not only get all your lumber but your firewood too at really low prices which is great when you have a multi burner to heat your home but mine also uses coal. we are not in a smokeless zone. If I've missed anything you might wish to know about please just ask.
